Default What will remove cured, thin CA glue?

Guys,
I spilled some thin CA glue on one of my expensive knife blades and I ended up scraping most of it off with an X-Acto blade.
However, there is still a residue mark where the glue dried, and I'm looking for suggestions as to what might rid my knife of this stain. ANY suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Default Debonder

Hi,

You might try Great Planes brand "Pro CA Debonder" for this.

Default Acetone works also

You can generally get acetone at hardware stores, home depot, etc.

Yes, a quick soak in acetone should do it.

You may have etched the metal. If all else fails, try a metal polish.

Use acetone. I have removed C/A hinges from control surfaces with the stuff!

I'm with MinnFlyer on this one. The Ph of the CA may have etched the surface of the blade. In the future, I assume you'll keep your expensive blades away from the plane huh? CA has a knack of getting on anything closeby - especially fingers.

No problemo ! Get a glass container or beaker that fit the blade sizes. Pour in some acetone. Soak them blades overnight. Cover the container to minimise evaporation loss. I use this method all the time to recycle my ca tips.
