I have one. The radio features are nice for the price. Only bad thing about it is the handle on the radio is week and will break if you use it that much. My handle broke and i sent it back. They replaced it and it broke again 3 months latter. Sick of sending it back I just used electrical tape to hold the handle and don't use the handle to carry.
Non the less i run my
hangar 9 60 hellac
OMP katana 70 v2
Tower MKII Trainer 40
Gohbee Stinger .50 helicoper
helimax mx 400 heli
GP EP Yak 55 3d
Slow Stick
of my optic 6, 3 years and it is still going storng

I use one for heli's and fixed wing.
Only problems I've ever encountered is interferance on my Trex450 but thats down to the heli being on 35mhz not the Tx per se.
I've just switched to 2.4ghz DX7 but I'm keeping the Optic 6 for park flyers just because its such a nice Tx to use.

The Optic is the most feature-rich 6 channel radio available, AFAIK. I had issues with mine glitching(there was a known problem with the case/module fit), but Hitec took care of it for free. I am now back to using it as my main radio. I'd buy another.
Cambo, how the H#77 did you break the handle on this radio twice?! It's a pretty thick molding and integral to the case! I did break the handle on my Eclipse, but I tripped and accidentally threw it trying to keep my balance[:@]...

Looks like middle of nowhere but that's just an opinion. That could be nice too.

What is 'AFAIK' ? And, where is Newton NJ?

Newton is the county seat of Sussex County, and where routes 206 and 94 cross for frame of reference. Or, thirty minutes from the Delaware Water Gap, forty minutes from Middletown, NY, and an hour from Manhattan by car.
oh, and I forgot about the metal rod that's sandwiched between the two plastic arms of the Tx handle--is that what broke, campo?

Bruce, Newton actually has a population of 20k, but it's still pretty small-townish. I grew up in Green, 8 miles south of town. THAT is the middle of nowhere. More cows than people when I was a kid...
