Of my local flying field. Mr. Freddie Hebert, very nice guy. He had me try out his simulator to get used to the radio and controls. It's not at all easy as it looks. I felt like I was never going to be able to fly a plane, he said just keep practicing and by the time i had to leave I almost got the hang of it. I'm getting even more excited now about learning to fly. Woot!

Yep, he said our season's about to start since the wheather will start to get cooler, so I'll be able to get my plane in the air within the next couple of weekends.

You will most likely discover very quickly that perhaps the best part of this hobby is the people you`ll meet and friends you`ll make. Most everybody gets into this because they like airplanes and are interested in the flying part, I know I did. After I became active in my first club, I soon came to the realization that I enjoyed the company of my flying buddies as much, and perhaps even a little more, than the flying part.

Yep, he was a very cool person. He said their biggest rule was: no a-wholes allowed. He and the other club members formed this club 2 years ago after being fed up with the a-wholes at their old club. He says all his club members are very laid back and very friendly.

Sounds like you hooked up with a good bunch. Biggest part of the hobby for me , has been making new freinds.
MinnFlyer , I`m afraid to ask, but how many watches do you need at one time ?

That was at an office party. I recieved a very nice (Read expensive) watch for being withthe company for 10 years. As a joke, they first gave me a cheesy $1.50 watch. So that night I was wearing all 3 (Those two plus my own)
As far as the coconuts... They were delicious [sm=tongue_smile.gif]
