Pardon my ignorance if this is out there somewhere in information space but I canβt find it. Is there anyone or anywhere that can list engine size to airplane weight? For example I would like to know just for knowledge sake the following
5lbs β 7lbs airplanes = .40 - .46 2 stroke or 52 β 72 4 stroke
8lbs β 10lbs airplane = .60 β 91 2 stroke or etceteraβ¦.
ββββ ββββββββββ ββββββββ β ββββββββββ
ββββββββc ββββββββββ βββββββββ ββββββββββ
Thx

In general, that's a loaded question.
For instance, a Cub can get by with a lot less power-to-weight (which I think is a more meaningful comparison, by the way) than a plane meant to be a 3D monster. For what it's worth, the numbers you listed are probably pretty close for a sport ship....maybe a bit on the anemic side, but plenty enough for flying.
