kind of vague on the causes.I looked up the crash of the Delta dc-9 that crashed at logan on boston on july 31,1973 and all it said as cause was collision with object. It actually came in short and hit the seawall before the runway.

Some of the older ones are very vague. The ones that start, I believe, somewhere in the 80's begin to get more detail. 9-11 is there. but the NTSB refuses to post details.

There are others that are pretty interesting. I was particluarly interested in some of the 'incursions' that have been on the news lately. There are quite a few that were reported and listed.

Believe it or not. Thats pretty much the way it`s done. Stuff like geese strikes happen everyday, but maybe I`m not following what up ?

Hey Moondoggie.. I am not sure I follow your posts. Are you asking a question? [ follow what up? ] and your next post. My reply just defines about where the descriptions become more detailed rather than the older types that look like answers to a questionnaire or something. Looks like they changed the format of the report descriptions in January, 1982 because from there on, they become more descriptive. Some of the foreign ones are cryptic, as are some of the ones still under investigation, or as in the case of 9-11, they refuse to put information out.

Sry CGR. I meant , to say . I was in the aviation trades a long time and would get myself in trouble , by making any comments.
I have free flight benerfits on several major airlines but have`nt flown since 9-11 . I have my reasons .
When I saw the reports , got me to thinking about stuff you don`t hear about and how much problems it would cause for me, if I opened my mouth. about it.
Sry , got a little wound up.
