Absolutely. CA is nothing more than a fancy name for Super Glue. I keep a small tube of "Super Glue" in by tool box that goes to the field in case I need a quick repair. Most of the time people will buy the CA sold in hobby shops because you usually get larger quantities. Plus, CA comes in three different viscosities.. thin, medium, and thick.

CA, short for cyanoacrylate, is the generic name for Super Glue. Super Glue is a registered trademark or brand just like CocaCola or Clorox. That's why you don't see the words "Super Glue" on the bottles of CA glue at the local hobby shop.

something I noticed about CA is with some hard plastics that superglue brand will stick together pretty well CA doesn't do that great of a job on, otherwise it glues your fingers together with equal tenacity.

Buying the large bottles at the LHS is definitely cheaper than buying the tiny superglue tubes... though Ken's point is a good one. A small tube takes up less space in your flight box for that time when you do need a few drops.

And CA needs cool storage. Not hot. So the smaller tubes waste less when they go bad in a furnace hot flight box.
