I use Century 21st Coverite Fabric often and like it. Someone gave me some Super Coverite that looks like silk. Does it have to be fuel proofed? I tried a very small piece on some balsa and it appears to adhere OK but it is almost transparent. Blue in color.

When Coverite first came out, they advertised that you could cover an entire tennis ball with one piece. Trust me, you could.
(Back then, they also advertised covering weights, which was very, very interesting.)
And they said that it was fuelproof, but that it would get dirty if not protected. So most people sprayed it with a fuelproof clear.
It will get dirty.
BTW, here is a model I flew today that has it on the wings and tail. They were covered in 1985. It holds up over the years pretty good, wouldn't ya' say.

BTW, lots of the original colors were semi-transparent. The lighter ones anyway.
Which actually makes for an interesting effect sometimes.
I've not seen the Century21 stuff, but someone said it was not quite the same as Coverite used to be. Don't have a clue what he meant.
And don't sweat whether or not your post belongs in this forum, they just had a big one on losing/keeping club flying fields and it stayed.
