hi all
my Dad bought this a while ago after i got my trainer (we wwants to have a go aswell :P) but we cant figure out what kit it is, its 3 channel, built like a tank and is powered by a trusty thrusty OS MAX 35 swinging a 10x6 (needs a fairly long takeoff run, smaller prop maybe?)
theres a sticker on the side that says "RAJAIR/ROJAIR CADET 63" but i cant figure out if its an O or an A on the sticker

I don't know it either, but if you google "rojair" you could find that it is an UK brand from the seventies...
I found a magazine talking about a rojair P-51.

this plane is definately older than i am and quite possibly from the 70's, it came with a Sanwa Excellence 35mhz AM (yes, AM!) radio and several boxes of building items which did look very old

Looks to me like it says: rcjcair cadet62
Definitely not a 63, have no idea where you got that number.
I found no information on it either. Probably too old.

yeh, im flying it using my old Skysports 6 and a Sanwa FM reciever, that OS 35 goes well though
on further inspection, it is a Cadet 62, but me being the numpty i am at times said 63 :P
the first flight was a disaster, it was a still but slightly rainy day, my Dad took it up for the first time (he has only flown control line in the 70s so i should probably have flown it first) and as it got up enough speed the tail dropped and it went straight up vertical, after a lot of cursing and struggling for control it pulled up into a stall turn, dropped the nose and clipped a wing on a telegraph wire, snapping the wing in half and sending the poor cadet down with a heartstopping (NyaaaaAAA!-THUMP-...), i looked at my Dad and said "... go get the car and i will dig it up".
so i walked over and the dammed thing was sitting there on its back, firewall had completely departed the fusealge and a cowl cheek had broken off, but other than a broken control rod it was perfectly fine. we made a new Firewall out of 12mm ply and patched it up, put a new control rod in and put the wing back together using some fibreglass cloth and epoxy. i also added a chunk of lead under the fuel tank and flew it again a few weeks later, flies alright but has a tendancy to keep climbing even though its balanced out fine
