Default Ultrakote

I purchased a roll of white ultrakote, 1st time I have tried to use it. I normally use coverite fabric but it is getting expensive. Anyways. about 1/3 way into the roll on the backing cover it said oracover--it that the same stuff?

Ultra Coat has always been the USA marketing brand of ORA Cover

I think you will find it a little more workable than Monocoat?

It seem to go on better than Monokote. I had some nasty curves to go around and it came out good. Still Like the fabric.

both these materials withstand more heat than monokote, there fore they can be stretched over curves with more confidence. they also create less gas under the film while being applied. the white oracover tends to yellow more than monokote over time.

Does anyone know if the colors the same (match) for both ultracote and oracover? For example, does red ora match red ultracote? and are all the same colors available for both? I have a plane that is done in Oracover and I need to match the covering and there isn't much oracover available locally

I've used Monokote trim sheets to patch Oracover planes. Sure seemed to match pretty close.

Most Ultracote rolls say Oracover on the backing sheet

They're not all identical but some are really close. Monokote has more available colors.
