Default Hi or Low Band

Does it make any difference in range between Hi and Low Band?

No, there is no difference in range. The only difference between Low and High band for Futaba receivers is the channel they operate on. Low band is used for channel 35 and below, and High band is used for channel 36 and above. That's the only difference between them

Low band RX's can only be used by low flying planes though. Use Hi band for High flying planes.
