G'day Mate,
If you fly with the battery in, you check the balance point, with the battery in.
Balance as per plans, then fly & adjust as required.

I move the battery and radio to try to balance the plane. May have to resort to attaching lead weights to the front or rear?

if you have a plastic spinner, you might be able to add a bit by upgrading to alluminum, it will cost you though

dont' forget that you check cg with the tank empty, just incase you didn't know

I like to have a slight nose down attitude when setting C-O-G & adjust for my flying style
how far off are you? (recommended/actual)
the batt is your best bet for adjusting C-O-G

I have moved the battery all the way to the front under the tank. I have put the battery towards the tail. I have used heavy spinner hubs you can buy at the hobby shop. I've also used stick on wheel weights and old dead batteries as ballast.

Move the battery and radio first. Sometimes on smaller planes you can get away with lighter servos and maybe a micro for the throttle. If the servo tray is behind the CG, this can help a bit. Get rid of the metal pushrods for the elevator and rudder. Only add weight as a last resort.
