Will OS glow plugs(in this case- #8) fit into Evolution engines?? I have an Evolution 1.00NX that was graciously donated to me but im an OS guy, just wandering- will it fit? Call me lazy but rather than try to fit it not knowing if thread pitches are correct id rather ask first before attempting- I dont want to strip the threads.

Yep, 1/4x32 is the standard glow plug thread even in metric countries. Why re-invent the wheel? This thread size dates back to the micro spark plugs used on model airplane spark ignition engines before Ray Arden invented the glow plug. You can still buy those micro spark plugs, they weren't created to allow spark ignition conversions for glow plug engines, they were here first.

Thanks for the rapid responses! yep- they are SFG's. Gives more Rudder authority while 3ding. Personally-They just look neat. They dont do much for me as im more into pattern flying- they also require a faster approach when installed. out of 50 flights i used them on 2? maybe? Thanks guys!

Maybe someone should discuss things like length, or heat ranges. I like to buy the right glow plug for the engine that it will go in. Or we could talk about sticky-up things.

Oh, I'm quite sure they can read well enough. And I am probably as sure that they just had a question to ask the original poster because the original question was adequately answered by Minnflyer.
