Default new work shop ( sorta)

I have finally after 2 months working in my spare time got my shop ready for a winter kit build. I, at one time had 5 horses on the place. After realizing that they were a money funnel I sold them. I had a 14' x 14' tack room in the barn that I have insulated and added air conditioning and heat to become my new work shop. Nice ! I am going to try my hand at building this winter. I've got in mind something simple like a GP Dazzler. By the way I come home from work this evening hungry and ready for supper and what does Ben, my oldest son have spread all over the kitchen table????????? A Guillow's P-40 Warhawk rubber Band powered kit. What is a dad to do?

He won't let me aerowoof. He said this is his build. Said I could help when he got it ready to cover. I told him I didn't know anything about covering with tissue, but we could learn together!!

Help him build it. Give him suggestions or offer to help in the complex parts. If he wants help he'll ask. Give him freedom.

He may want to help on your Dassler?

The Uproar/Dassler = good choice for first build.

I say let him build it. I guarantee he'll ask you if he needs help. I asked my dad so many questions when i was building, but i built the whole thing and i'm sure he wouldn't like having to go around saying "Well i didn't build it all by myself, my dad covered it and installed the radio gear." get the point?

Just a 14 year olds POV.

He will help on the Dazzler, that is going to be a father/son project until it's ready to fly. He's going to have to fly it - it happens to quick for me. He is currently flying a CG Edge 540. That thing is almost like building an ARF every time we go to the field. He wants somthing he can just throw in the truck and go fly when time is short. He is also starting to try to hoover. He thinks the Dazzler will be a cheaper mishap if one occurs. I tend to agree.
