Follow the instructions, dont rush things.
You will see that ARF's are pretty easy to assemble.
Most important thing to do since you are using the big engine is to set your CG as recommended. Since it will most likely be nose heavy, before adding the lead, first try moving the battery behind the servos and then add the lead..
Most important have funnnnn.

The Big Stik .60 is designed around a .61 2-stroke and your .91 FX weighs less than an ounce more than the .61 FX. Most Stik designs are very sturdy in design. Build it according to the directions and everything should come out right. My first ARF assembly was a Thunder Tiger Tiger Stick .40 and it was easy even though I was a first-timer. Great Planes ARFs have a terrific reputation for clear and thorough directions, so you should have little to worry about.
Good luck and have fun!

I've flown with Fults nose gear before, they do rule. I thought the Big Stik .60 was a tail-dragger by default though, as opposed to the .40 which is tricycle gear. I could just be confused on this point, I've been taking a lot of cough medicine!
Edit - A quick visit to the Tower Hobbies website shows that tricycle gear is the default, but instructions are included for building it as a tail-dragger instead.

I have a Big Stick .60 with a .90 super tiger on it,and its the best flying an most fun plane I own beyond a doubt! It should be mandatory for every r/c pilot to own one. And the .90 sized motor is PERFECT.....not overpowered, not under....just right. Well,at least it is with my .90 ST,your O.S. will likely have a bit more juice, but not much,it'll be fine. I built mine according to the manual and nothing has when wrong yet, just make sure you mount the wing halves together well, cause your gonna fly the crap out of it I'm sure. And personally,I recommend keeping the tricycle gear arrangement. If your like most of us,the next several planes you build will be taildraggers,so its nice to have a plane that not once in awhile, and your big stick will be an excellent "that" plane. Its also a very strong gear. I'm known for bending landing gears from my newb landing skills, and I've never bent my big sticks yet. I've considered switching mine over several times, but I just like it the way it is! The only reason I might in the future is to put skis on it. I think the Big Stick would also be a great plane for this.
Your really are going to love that plane!

Look it over and consider reinforcing the firewall and landing gear area. I would go tail dragger. the fx 90 is a good motor has a history of being a little lean in the mid range so keep it a little richer than usual.
You can beat it with a stick, but you can't beat a stick!

Oh yeah, now that you mention it....my landing gear area DID crack on me sometime during the first couple flights. Epoxy the heck out of that area!!!

Hello Everyone:
I'm gong to buy at Big Stik 60.
A couple of people in this thread have mentioned setting them up at tail draggers.
My question is, how is the tail wheel set up? Is a hole cut in the elevator and a wire run down from the rudder to the tail wheel or what other way is the the tail wheel controlled?
Any information will be most helpful.
Bye, Ian
