HI All,
I had a very bad news, I lost all my transmitters today. JR 8103 and Airtronics RD6000. I extremely need to know, IF the Futaba 9C compatible with JR549 and Airtronics receivers. PLEASE HELP, I NEED A NEW RADIO TO FLY NEXT WEEKEND.
Thank you in advance.

What do you mean when you say you lost them? The Futaba is not compatible with JR. Not sure about the Airtronics, but I would guess not. Where did the Futaba come from, and why doesn't it have a receiver_bob

From: Laurel, MD,
Airtronics and JR both FM shift in the same direction, and are compatible (channel numbers may change though)
Futaba and Hitech both shift in the same direction, but opposite JR and Airtronics. So Futaba and Hitech are compatiable with each other, but not with the two above.
Hitech has a transmitter that is switchable from JR/Airtronics to Futaba shift, so it can drive any FM receiver out there.
The above applies to FM only.
PCM is a differnet ballgame, no one is compatible with anyone else there (as far as I know).

From: Laurel, MD,
Old Airtronics plugs had the wires in a different order from everyone else. The newer Airtronics "Z" connectors are compatiable with everyone else now.
Here's a picture "borrowed" from Tower's website that shows the old Airtronics to new "Z" type converter cable. Note the order of the red and black wires at both ends, they swap places.
Speaking of old connectors, anyone else remember Futaba "G" connectors?
