Hello again question number two. OK, I was looking and saw that the case for the spectrum DX7 is $60. Can I go to home depot to make my own case or do I need to save up and buy there case? Have any of you guys made a case or just buy theirs.

Any sporting goods store that sells gun cases will have nice, sturdy protective cases that will work well with your Spektrum transmitter. They come with the foam you need and you simply cut out the foam to fit your transmitter as needed.
Tower Hobbies sells gun cases as transmitter cases, but sporting goods stores should have them for slightly less.

I bought a used case that someone had stripped out the foam from, and I cannot find the foam ANYWHERE!! So I'd reccomend buying a one with the foam in it already. I looked in all major craft stores, wallmart, lowes, home depot, fabric stores, etc.. IMPOSSIBLE to find. Sucks.

Grlllsfly.. If you go to Lowes or home depot and to the heating and cooling section. Most stores have the fairly dense black insulating foam. It works well and cuts nicely if care is used.
Also most stores that carry fabric for sewing will carry foam for projects like cushions etc.
I use an old, old Bell telephone tool kit. Its metal and covered in leather and has a panel in the lid that flips down to hold small scale tools. I purchased foam, cut to fit and it works well.
