Installed on in my LT-40. was going to install one in my Sig Kadet Senior. Didn't work in the LT-40 though. I think I put the ground wire in the wrong place. I put it on one of the engine mounts (near the carb), should I have put the ground wire on one of the engine MOUNT bolts?, near the firewall?

Should work on either, the ground wire MUST be atatched to some thing meteal that is in contact with the body of the engine or direct to the engine. say, mounting bolts, exhaughst bolt, any thing that gives a circuit with the glow plug

You can always test the remote and see if your installation is correct - do this by attaching the clip to the glow plug after it is removed from the engine. The plug in the glow starter and hold the plug on the engine head - it should glow when 'grounded' to the engine head.

Let me just make sure I am following you correctly.
Take out the glow plug, hook it up to the starter (the positive end), touch the "threads" of the glow plug to the head of the engine, hook up my glow starter, and it should turn red.. Correct?
