I am in the middle of assembling the pulse and noticed that the bolt on tail section will not tighten up snug to the fuse because there is a gap of about 2mm between them. if I lower the tail section to close the gap the wing section and the fuse will not be flush on top. Any body have this problem and how did you solve it

Well, I didn't have your problem. Mine bolted up just fine. But, I am not quite sure I understand your problem. Any way you could post a picture?

If anything it appears that you have the tail bolts on too tight, which is deforming the rudder and it's base.
Do this...
First loosen them up a bit.
Then check the elevator.
Does it move up and down, or rock from side to side when you push on it?
If so get some saddle tape ( or any thin foam tape will work if you cut it down ) and put it on the elevator.
Then put the bolts back in, but apply loctite BLUE to them.
You should have no up/down play in the elevator nor should you be able to rock the elevator from side to side.
That gap at the front is unimportant.

A comment for your other post: I think you will like this plane. It was my second one as well. I taught myself how to fly, and the Pulse is pretty forgiving, at least is was for me. I went real slow at first, by that I mean that I did not try any stunts or radical flying until I was comfortable. And of course, I was 3 mistakes high when I tried my first stunts! I had a OS 46 on mine, and tried several different props, which made the plane fly alot different. I have just replaced the 46 with an OS 55, but not had a chance to fly it yet. The plane can be pretty fast with the 46 and the right prop. You might want to watch your speed for the first few flights with that 55 on it. I have also moved the CG around a little, but always kept it in the range of what the manual says. When a little nose heavy, you have to keep the speed up on landings (just a little), or the plane will kind of drop out of the sky. But don't make it tail heavy, it gets a little squirlly. I didn't reinforce the landing gear, or make any changes. Just built per the instructions and flew. Had one hard landing when I dead sticked it into the side of a hard dirt mound. Hit one of the wheel pants hard enought to crack it, and hit the wing tip. Didn't break anything. All I had to do was patch the scuff on the wing tip with some tape and fly again. Hope this helps. Have fun with your Pulse. It is a blast to fly.
