Default melted wing

hi i recently bought an ARC Ready 2 and in my haste to get it in the air i have deformed part of the wing tip. about a two inch by 1 inch area has buckled in. I managed to do this because i was impatient with the length of time it took for the paint to dry and put a spot light too close to the wing.

any way if you are able to make sense of what i typed my question is will this affect the aerodynamics of the plane or the handling?

thanks

Hi,

I don't think you need worry the effect on the handling will be very small.

If you are concerned you could restore the tip by covering over the sunken area with some sticky tape. For a less obvious repair, fill the area with lightweight filler and repaint, you may need to add a little weight to the other wing tip to re balance.

Simon.

with that area of damage it is definitely not worth worrying about,if the cosmetics bother you do what slug says and fill it.

Simplest solution to me is to crumple up some paper, stuff that in, then tape over it. That will keep the tape from pushing in.
