Default Prop installation question

I have an OS .46 LA engine and a Master Airscrew 11x6 prop. My question is, how do I assemble the prop on the engine shaft? The hole diameter in the prop is smaller than the engine shaft. Should I ream the shaft?

Thanks

Kerry

Hi woodsy, get a prop reamer from GP or other brand. It's real easy and precise to use. The reamer has several steps for different shaft sizes. Good luck.......

Default Prop installation question

I have used Master Airscrew Props in 10 and 11 inch sizes and never had to ream them out. I have had them on OS, TT and Tower engines. I think the prop is just tight. Like Woodsy said first try to spin the prop on.You are talking about the black Master Airscrew props?

Default Prop installation question

Well, I put the prop on this weekend. It kind of threaded itself on. Hope this isn't going to weaken it. It's survived one tank of fuel so far.

Thanks for the help

Kerry
