I pick up flux from Radio Shack. I usually buy 3 or 4 tubes at a time as I tend to go through it pretty quickly around here. But then again, I do a lot of soldering too!!!

So what I need is (tin lead) rosin core solder, flux and heat shrink tubing
Any particular flux?

Yes just ask for Rosin core solder and make sure it says Rosin core on the package. It comes in many thicknesses but the thinest is very easy to work with for small wiring.

A place like radio shack will have the Rosin core, the paste solder flux as well as shrink wrap.

Hi
hope the repair is going well. Flux can be found at Lowes or any similar type store probably even wal mart. I like the very thin Radio Shack rosin core solder for a quick melt/wick.

The next thing you will need is a plane with a bombay compartment...slightly larger than a CAT[>:]

And we will finally figure out weather the old 'cats always land on there feet' thing is true hu? [)]

At least they didn't claw through the covering. Boy would that have pissed me off.
