Default Help Wheel Collar Sizes

Hello everyone, I have a World Models Sky Raider Mach 2. I need to buy some more wheel collars as the ones I had fell off.

The problem is the parts list in the manual say it is a 4.1mm Wheel Collar. I'm not sure what size to get off Tower Hobbies as its all in Imperial Units.

Which out of these would fit the best for normal 40-60 sized models?

3/16"
1/16"
3/32"
5/32"
1/8"

Also I have another World Models ARF that requires 5.1mm Wheel Collars, which would fit if I was to buy off Tower Hobbies?

Thank you for your help.

After doing some converting I think the best is 3/16" for the 4.1mm and 1/4" for the 5.1mm collars?

Go to Tower Hobbies website and use the converter there. Just punch in the numbers and it will calculate it for you.

5/32" is the standard for 40-60 size planes

Hi,
The 3/16 should work , check if you can with tower if yuou can. 4.1 divded by 25.4 = .161 of a inch and thats just .025 thousands of a inch under 3/16 and you need a little clearence.

Had a thought, when I order something like this , I would order a few more and or different sizes. With cost of shipping ,etc more than likely you will need more of that one or some of the next two sizes around what you want. Just my thought, I general have what I need and don't have to run to town or specal order anything. But I have been a packrat for some years!!!!!!!!

Hi,
Collars may also be drilled to a std. size.Drills normally cut .002/.003 oversize&provide sufficient clearance.

As Gunfighter said, 5/32" is standard for a 40 - 60 size plane.
