Hi all. I'm wondering what exactly binding is and its possible causes and fixes. I installed the servo control rod for my nose gear, and now the servo makes buzzing when I test it with the rudder control on the transmitter. Thanks.

Does the buzzing occur at the end of travel, or when the servo returns to neutral?

It's fine when it's in neutral, the trouble is when I'm moving it, and then there's the buzzing. Thanks

Does the push rod move freeley when it is not connected to the servo? What kind of servo are you using?

I'm using a JR 537 Servo. I'd have to check about it moving freely when it's not connected.

Is this with the plane sitting on the nose gear or with the nose lifted? If it's sitting stationary, there will be some binding as the nose gear is usually harder to rotate.

It's making this sort of buzzing noise even when lifted up...I guess it's binding. But It'd help if I knew exactly what it means to be "binding" and also its causes and fixes. Thanks all.

Binding means that something is rubbing somewhere a little too hard and cannot move freely. I would suggest diconnecting the nose gear and try the servo with rudder only. If it still happens, disconnect everything, still happens, servo might be bad. If not, figure out which push rod is rubbing and make it not rub.

Sevo buzz when they stall , reach end of travel. Make sure that they are not moving past control funtion. Adjust to give free travel.
