Problem with going full throttle

Hello all,
I have a problem with my engine. First, I have a tower trainer 40 with a os .46 engine. I finally got to break my engine in last week and it sounded and run well. Now I went out to break it in some more and when I started up my engine, It barely stayed on while in idle and when try to go full throttle, it will not go. It seems to loose power and eventually stalls. I've read the manual and I've resetted the fuel valve and still nothing. I've checked if the engine is flooded and that came back not to be. Can any of you experts help me out on this one or you can give me any resources.

Does the engine run well when your glow ignitor is still attached? If so, it could be a glow plug issue. Engines still breaking in sometimes 'eat' a plug or two when new. What happens if you start at 1/2 throttle (don't make a habit of it though)?
I highly doubt it's a tuning issue since air density doesn't have such a pronounced affect that your engine won't even run. Are you sure the engine isn't starting backwards?

Barely stay to idle? Either is a tuning issue, either a fuel line issue. I had the exactly symptoms and was the bad tuning, because i was new then

You need to set the needle valve 1st run of every session. The conditions that matter to the engine change from day to day. Our engines have a very simple carburetor that can't deal with that. But we can.
A new engine needs an experienced modeler to get broken in safely and the very few adjustments made that it needs.
You do need to find someone.

There is a thread in this forum that is about your problem.
Our engines need the needle valve set in order to run wide open without sagging, and to give full power. The new ones sometimes need the low-speed or idle needle set in order to go cleanly throttle up from idle to wide open.

Hey I was just wondering if you might have adjusted your throttle trim? Maybe the reason you can't idle is that your trim is too low. If this is the case, you can advance the throttle trim a few clicks so the engine idles, then adjust your high speed needle, then adjust your idle mixture. Just a thought.
But like what was said above, you should find someone at the field to help you tune your engine, from scratch. It's really a lot harder for a beginner than it sounds
