Default The Day Has Come!

Guys, after waiting and waiting I went and bought a Avastar today at the hobby shop. Im so excited, I put it together tonight and almost done. I think I will try to go to the feild tomarrow, I got my temp ama card and joining a local club.

My only concern is that the aerlions *sp* dont seem to be in sync? one goes up and one goes down? Is that correct? It doesnt look right.

I hope I will get to see some planes flying tomarrow and maybe get this baby in the air.

Everyone have a safe weekend, and good flights..

G'day Mate,
The ailerons are supposed to work that way, that is your primary control in the air, they control the roll axis of the aircraft, the elevators control the pitch axis, & the rudder controls the yaw axis.
PLEASE don't try to fly it yourself, get an experienced pilot to check out the set-up of the plane, & put it up for it's maiden flight, it will save you a lot of frustration & money.

Welcome to the addiction.

Force your trainer to do a full ground check on your plane. Even the experienced guys get lax on this some times.

Let us know how the first flight goes. It is always great to see something you put together lifting off the ground and then landing. You will be hooked for life. And broke as the addiction sets in[sm=wink_smile.gif]

Take a look at the video on this page: http://www.gettingairborne.com/air.html

It gives a pretty good demonstration on how each control surface affects the airplane.
