I went yesterday but only had 8lb fishing line with me (took it off my fishing reel). It broke 3 times so I came home and didn't feel like going out and getting a heavier one, So I let the plane be.
I'll go today and get a 30+lb reel and try that. I'm about 90% over it now, But I'll keep trying everyday.

I had that happend a few years ago, when I was learning to fly. It was my aerobird. It stayed in the tree for a few days...[
] I knew someone with a boom truck and they got it down.
Luckily it was free since I was freinds with the guy. But you may check around at any construction site that may have such equipment...

Go to your home store and get some sections of pvc pipe,
the type that has a "bell" at one end. Put them together,
you may need to brace the pipe in the "crotch" of another
tree. You should be able reach the plane, just like shooting
pool. Try the 3" diameter pipe. I used this metheod to get
a Tiger .60 out of a tree around 60' up. The pipe got real
flexy, and heavy so get some help. Good luck!!

just like above use PVC pipe they cn be bought cheep in 10 ft long. Get a couple 1 1/2 dia and then reduce to a couple of 3/4 dia then reduce to a coupe 1/2 that way there is less wieght and less flex .I used this to dislodge a kite once worked great the pipe can be returned if its not glued or damaged

Same thing happen to me. 60-70 feet up, tried everything to get it down, pvc, conduit, rope, climbing, rocks,. Ended up calling a tree service co. with a boom, they gently plucked it out for 150.00 dollars.

Bow+Arrow+80lb fish reel = SUCCESS!!!
The bird is down with no damage, just some minor bend on the corner of the wing. Little bit of tape and glue and the bird WILL FLY!
Thank you guys so much for the suggestions. Everything is working.

Took me two weeks to get my Tiger 60 back, luckily it
didn't rain! It went in hard when it came down, complete
loss. at least I got my Supertigre .61 and radio back!

I used a tree surgeon, managed to get lucky and catch somone in a good mood on a Friday afternoon who'd finished their other job of the day early and all he wanted was a couple of beers. I'd also had a quote to get some work done on a tree at home which was £450, he came and gave me a quote of £320 so happy days all round
