I'm having a real hard time keeping my figure eights consistent in height and in pattern.
I'm flying a Sig Kadet LT-40 with 6mph winds and turbulence, with the throttle a little more than half way and every time I start a turn the plane wants to lose altitude.
I compensate by pulling back on the stick while turning but it still wants to lose altitude. Plus my 'eight' moves from left to right in the sky.
Are these difficult for anyone and is it especially true with a trainer? I seem to be able to fly eights alot better with something like the YAK.
Thanks.

Try flying with a little more speed. on say 3/4 throttle. However having to hold the noseup in turns is normal but if the model is flying slowly it will appear to be more affected by the wind.
6 mph winds are quite light but you need to make the first, into wind part large to give you time to position the intersection and start the downwind circuit.

It's just a matter of practice and learning to time when to start the turns (field placement). Yep, a bit more power will probably help an the altitude unless the problem is that you are trying to keep the loops (circles) too small and having to over-bank the plane. Enlarge the pattern a bit if you don't want to add power. If the plane will climb gently (or better) from level flight you have enough power.
