I need help with a fuel valve i installed on my great planes rv-4 plane. The engine is a .46 os. with a pitts style muffler
I need to know where the fuel lines hook up to from the valve. thanks
If more info needed let me know.

It depends on which type you have. Some are installed in the fuel feed line and backflush into the fuel tank. I have one hooked up to the fuel tank third line which puts fuel into and out of the bottom front of the tank, that way my fuel main line only has a filter. The valve I have is a Robart flip up and I have one line blocked on it.

Unsure of what type fuel valve you have but will assume it's the one that mounts to outside of cowl and has 2 nipples inside and a nipple that will plug into outside of valve that fuel will feed from to fill tank. Just put a piece of fuel line on the outside nipple then blow through it and check where the air comes out of one of inside nipples. That will be the nipple that goes directly to tank the other goes to motor. You must remove the outside nipple for fuel to flow from tank to motor.

Thanks, your suggestion was helpful, I have attached a photo of how my lines are
connected to the valve. Is there a way to use the valve and add a third line, or do I
just not want to use the valve and make it a three line system?
thanks again

I have used two types of the valve shown in your photos and sooner or later they will cause you trouble. I now use a third line if the fuel lines are not accessible. Take the filler valve out and use a fuel dot for your third line.

I’m using it only to fill fuel into the tank and empty it by closing the line and not as suggested, its working so far.
I closed the line to the carb and its three line from the tank system, one to carb, one vent and one to fuel valve.
I’m detaching the vent line from muffler when fueling.

first-"the nipple goes to pits style muffler"-no.
that line goes to the engine.
the other nipple goes to the tank pick up line with the clunk.
the nipple on the pits style muffler goes to the pressure line in the tank(the one that is near the top of the tank).
this makes for a 2 line system the fuel will overflow through the pits style muffler when the tank is full.
if you want a separate overflow use some small brass tubing and let it hang out of the cowl so you can disconnect it when fueling, or use a "T" in the muffler pressure line you can plug after fueling if your worried about fuel in your muffler, but its really no big deal as long as your not pumping huge quantities of fuel into the muffler, the fuel will just run out the exhaust pipe.
if you allow exhaust gasses and oil to get into the EZ Fueler then it will clog and malfunction, its for fueling not as a vent or for the muffler pressure line.
the probe in the fuel filler will prevent fuel from flooding the carb by blocking fuel when inserted durring fueling.
as for not using a EZ Fueler I think they work great I have several that have been trouble free for many years, as long as you keep them clean and free of exess goo, mainly old fuel, which is easaly cleaned with some denatured alcohol they work well,if your slopy and leave fuel in your lines then they get beat and will get sticky and leak.
