Default prop question

hi again
hope i'm not pi***** you all off with all these questions, but i gotta start somewhere . looking at photos a lot of the original aircraft had a 3 bladed prop, is there a reason everyone use's 2 bladed one's? i thought that for the sake of realism you would try and use the same as the original.
thx again paul

if i meet my goals= i will fly rc aircraft
if i fail=i will drive rc bus

For realism yes....for efficiency no.

Two bladed props are more efficient. The only reason to go to more blades is when you run out of ground clearance or are trying to run a little quieter (lower tip speed). Some guys use the scale 3 or 4 bladed prop for static display and fly with the 2 blader.

Actually one blade is most efficient but not very practical because you need a counter balance and you can't balance dynamically.

PS- Plus they are usually cheaper

And use Bolly Clubman props. They're not only very good but they're made here in Adelaide

Yep the Bolly clubmans are an excellent prop and a good price too, even if they are made by crow eaters
