Default 4* ARF "hardware"

TH is not very specific on what is included with the 4* 40 ARF. Does it come with engine mount? Switch harness? I assume control rods and clevis are included but it does not say (just "hardware package")...What else comes in this hardware package?

They just list engine, radio, servos as "needed" but of course you also need Rx, RX battery for sure.

What else?

Anyone know where I can get a on-line manual? (It is not on SIG site...)

Thanks.

it should have an engine mount, control rods and clevis'. No switch harness, you will need one of those. and a Y harness for your ailerons if you want to go that route and probably a couple of 12" servo extensions.
You will need a couple of feet of standard fuel tubing as well

Isn't a Y harness needed for dual servo airleron? (and this single?) Why 2-12" extensions needed for? Just one to get from Rx to airleron servo and isn't 6" enough?
Also, I assume some glue is needed? Epoxy? CA (which thickness)?

While we are at it, anyone care to compare the differences between the Phoenix Dolphin and SIG 4* (although than the $50 price difference)???

well I sent you one. I guess it was intercepted...

email me at [email protected]

I can get you in contact with a SIG person who can answer any questions you have. RC Universe won't let me post up the link for you to get help.

The 12" extension is the same as your trainer, so you don't have to connnect/disconnect the cable from the RX all de time.
It comes with the Radio system.

You also need extensions to the servo from the Y becuase the servos leads arn't long enough to reach the center
of the wing..so you can hook it up to the Y. It's boarderline.

You can splice the servo leads and can extend it ..if not, just buy extensions.

The Sig is US made and Salley has a retirement plane, medical insurance...and lord knows she needs it, breathing
glue and saw dust all the time.

I thought the 4* was dual aileron servos?

There is another thread about fixing a 4* wing.

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_78...tm.htm#7818337

from the photos, it looks like a typical single servo with torstion arms. If it were me, I would rip them out and put in a couple small servos, one in each wing and if you had the capability, put them on seperate channels.

The 4* 40 is single aileron servo, the 4* 60 is dual aileron servo.
