Hello,
I am trying to program a JR SX600 so that both aileron Servos function on their own (Flaperon Option). On the plane I plugged one Hitec HS65MG into channel 2 and the other Hitec HS65MG into channel 6. I am using a Berg 7 receiver in the plane. I can set the sub-Trims of each servo just fine. When I go to set the Travel Adjustment there is no response from the servo plugged into Channel 2 and when I change the Travel Adjustment on channel 6 it changes it for both ailerons.
I thought that with the flaperon option that all functions were available for both channels and that I could set the low and high travel on both ailerons individually. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong, or can anyone direct me to where I could find information on programming the JR SX600. I have the manual and all it states is that you should have all function on both ailerons. Do I have someting connected wrong? Will the radio not allow for the setup of independant ailerons?
Thanks

Hi Chuck, since nobody else has responded here yet, I thought I'd chime in.
I'm not at all familiar with the SX600 with regard to programming. I think you might have better luck posting your question to the RC Transmitters, Receivers, and Servos forum:
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/forumid_157/tt.htm
You might also call Horizon Hobby customer support when you get the chance at 800-338-4639. Their technical support people should be able to help you out with radio programming issues.
The SX600 has a great reputation as a good sport radio and a good value. Good luck.

If you have selected flaperon wing type from the system menu, then you should attach the servo lead of the right aileron to the Ail channel (Channel 2 on bergs receiver) and then connect the left aileron servo to Aux 1 which will be the channel 6 on bergs receiver.
Hope it helps.

By the original poster's description, it sounds like he has his basic setup all installed correctly. His problem seems to be that he can't adjust the end point adjustments of channel 6. He was expecting to be able to adjust the end point adjustments for channel 2 and have both aileron channels affected simultaneously.
I would expect there to be an end point adjustment available for channel 6 so he can adjust it independantly of channel 2, but I've never programmed a JR SX600 and can't say for sure.

End point ( travel ) doesn't work that way on JR's.
The end point controls how MUCH influence a POT or switch can have on the slave channel.
When using two channels for ailerons, end point should be set to ZERO, so as to avoid inadvertently moving a switch or pot, throwing off your plane while in flight.
Center adjust, however works independantly.
On a slave channel, the end point is controlled by the master channel.

Sorry I have not been able to get back, have been on a little vacation. I thnik I will try the transmitter forum. I think this is in the wrong place. I have everything set up as to the directions and as stated above with one aileron in channel 2 and theother in channel 6. To solve the matter in the short term I went to a Y cable. Thanks for all the replys. I did get in touch with Horizon via Email but did not get a reply. I will try the number posted above to ask directly.
