Default Having problems setting the throttle on my seamaster

I can't seem to get the throttle right on my seamaster. When the barrel is completely closed it is only 1/2 way on the throttle to wide open. I have the servo in the shortest hole and the carb lever in the longest hole. Fiddled with this thing for over an hour. If I set the End Point Adj over 100% I can get it to function OK. Can you go more than 100% without damaged to the servo?

Yes, you can adjust the travel of the servo for over 100% of it initial set up. The extra travel is insurance for the safety of the gears of the servo, so it is recommendable to stay around 100% of its range of operation.
If you note that you have to go over in a good amount, then think on go back to the throttle linkage and start over.

Good Luck.

Thanks, I guess I will take a break and then get back to it again. It is at 125 now. Maybe I will try another servo arm.

Be sure to zero your idle trim before your set the linkage up. Generally, on OS, the throttle linkage goes in the first hole closest to the the servo screw. Also goes in the top hole on the carb.

Happy Landings!

My reply a little late but if you haven't found solution yet here is how I set up throttle. First install a screw lock pushrod connector on END of servo arm. Set throw of servo to 80% on Tx run pushrod (wire or cable) through plastic tube connect to throttle arm on motor Whatever means you wish,(Z bend, quick link). Turn on radio put throttle in high, place end of pushrod through screw lock, tighten screw on to pushrod with throttle fully open . Place throttle in low, check on throttle barrel if not closed adjust linkage and throws to provide fully open and fully closed. likely it will take a bit of adjustment to provide full high and proper low motor desired. You want throttle barrel slightly open at low with motor trim at neutral thereby allowing motor shut off when trim is fully down.
