Question 1: Does the choke on an OS 70 Surpass open clock wise or anti - clock wise?
Sorry for the dumb question but my engine is hidden by the cowl and the way to open/close the choke is through the choke wire. I just need to know which way to turn it.
Question 2: while priming the engine should the choke be open or closed?
Question 3: While starting the engine should the choke be open or closed?

You don't need to bother with the choke. Put your finger over the exit to the exhaust, turn the prop over 5 or 6 times and the engine should be primed.
Using choke, choke closed for priming, open for starting. The choke should be spring loaded, turn it to close and it should spring back open when you let go.

Most OS 70's don't have chokes anymore......I think he may be talking about the barrel in the carb intake. (THrottle)
In which case moving the arm on the carb (with engine mounted upright) clockwise will reduce the RPMS of the engine.
