Met my instructor at the field today to try to solo, 4 take offs and as many landings...

We were going to buddy box first and practice but for some reason we couldnt get the TXs to buddy up???

I said it must be a sign and I might as well go for it solo!

Pretty uneventfull, my 3rd landing had a little bounce to it but I got it down soft...Kept the prop spinning.

After my 4th landing I got a small round of applause from the guys behind me!!!

I flew a couple more flights then packed it up.. I'll be out again tomorrow...

So I made my 1st glow flight in June and solo'd today..
Now I can fly on my schedule at the club field...

Now everybody at work next week is going to wonder what that silly little smile on your face is for!!! But we know!!!! Don't worry, it goes away in a few weeks.

A solo flight is a great accomplishment and that wins you one genuine RCU ATTABOY (Suitable for framing, wrapping fish, or lining trashcans).

CONGRATS on your solo. I made my first solo about 2 weeks ago. One thing you will notice at least I did you will burn more fuel now, like you said you can fly whenever, not just when instructor is avalible, after my solo I did a little dance and if I say so myself it was a good little dance. I got the applause and high fives all around and several suggestions of starting a new show called Dancing with dummies, (funny group of old farts I fly with) ha ha I think they were just jealous cause they can't dance like me. I never knew a 40 year old man (41 this Wed.) could feel like a kid again. Congrats again and go burn some fuel

Congrats on your solo! I stated this June with an instructor too. I'm trying to schedule my solo
between my, his and mothernature's availability. Kudos again on your solo!
