Default Multiplex Ez Cub!

I just wanted to tell you guys that I just maidened my Ez cub and it was a blast
I bought it to teach a friend of mine to fly, and the ez cub is the perfect plane jor the job.
Also, I was thinking to offer beginners a place to learn to fly, becouse I have 2 transimitters. And then even more can enjoy this amazing hobby!

First off - I'm not promoting Mulitplex or work for them. I just love their kits....

If you loved the Ez Cub, for your next aircraft you should hit up the MiniMag since you already have all the things you'll need! My girlfriend really loves that airplane since she's been learning how to fly (she's a real life pilot). The Almost-Ready-To-Fly kit gets you rolling in the right direction for supplies however, I'd recommend throwing in a larger motor since the one it comes with is really quite weak. I upped the anti and tossed in this:

[ul][*] [link=http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=EFLM2005]Six Series Brushless Motor from E-flight[/link][*][link=http://www.castlecreations.com/products/thunderbirds.html]Castle Creations 36amp Speed Control[/link]
[/ul]

i know it's complete overkill for power and bit expensive to start off with but, I see it as an investment into electrics. You can place this equipment into so many other airplanes down the road. My 2 cents.....otherwise, BRAVO! on the flights and keep on rockin'!

Yeah it`s quite big
It also performs endless verticals but I see no point doing that with a beginner plane like this.
I have 16 flights on it now, and 4 flights with a student So I"m a teacher, I teach people to fly, wooohooo
It is fun!

Murdoc -

Agreed. Going crazy on a trainer (like i did) is not the most highly recommended route. Reason I plugged all that in is because I had it on hand and didn't want to spend the cash "matching" a good power plant to the MiniMag. I just tell the GF to keep the power lower then usual and she'll be fine. The nice part is that since it does have some extra juice to it she can fly on windy days when I'm hauling with glow. She's almost ready for her next bird (she's building it now): SIG 4 Star 60. He choice by my suggestion....trust me on this one: She's going tandem for a while on that one.

Oh dear! You are a lucky guy you know that? My GF gets bored just by watching me fly!
The forecast has promised me nice and calm weather tomorrow so I"ll fly A LOT with my easycub

Oh! Btw I got a multiplex Twinstar today, the first version. I have had 2 twinstars a few years back so I"m very thrilled by this one!
It is old and does not look good at all, but the important thing is that it flys good, right?
I"ll upload a pic later today We should start a Multiplex Club haha

ROCK ON Murdoc! It may not be the most beautiful, but that's only on the surface! The inside is what counts.....speaking of which...what do you have in the inside of that bad boy? I did my own twin (pic attached) as an experiment and it worked so well that I'm building v2.0 with a sheeted wing and two E-flight Six Series 2700Kv motors (beyond overkill). I call it my Childhood Dream.

Here's the kicker - the girlfriend is the one who's been coaching me with my twin engine!! I've never flown a twin before and she is the one who talked me through the odd characteristics of twin engine flight (NOT counter rotating either). She rockS!

apwachholz: Nice bird Twins are so much fun to fly, and the sound from 2 whirling motors is just musiiiic in my ears!
What do I have on the inside of my twinstar? haha.. well nothing to brag about at the moment, but soon I can
You see, at the moment I"m flying it on the stock 400 motors, gws 6x5 props and a 2200 mah 8,4v ni-cd batterypack.
But maybe you could recomend me a brushless setup for my twin?
I"m definately going brushless and li po on this!
Multiplex for the win!
