My landing gear got ripped off
Well today I decided to take the camera; glad I did. I was the first one to be at the field;thought I was gonna be by myself. Kevin pulled up while I was on my first flight. So it was just him and me today. I landed and took some pics of him flying. Day goes on and my last flight I had a deadstick; turned a lil early cause I low on altitude touched down a foot short of the runway.[:@] Grass grabbed my gear and I glided down onto the field. The grass outside the runway isnt very tall; I thought I would be ok with 3.5 in wheels. Now I am faced with a decision; get some square PVC or buy a servo and put everything in my second plane or put everything into my 3 channel combat.

Gutter pipe is easy to repair. Just use PVC glue and a few spare pices from what you cut out before to reinforce the cracks. All my SPADs get a plywood plate inside the fuse for the landing gear to help spread the load out.

All of the above and also use the nylon screws, they will break befor the fuse does. also on spadworld, a guy there makes a larger plate on the aluminum part, then rubberbands on the whole thing. it has plenty of cushion and it wont break anything, BTW nice deb!!
