here is the assembly manual
http://www.towerhobbies.com/products...owa2048mnl.pdf
The plane has an economical price
It has an aluminum no drill engine mount
Is two stroke only
The inverted engine situation could be problematic

A friend of mine loves them and I will say they fly pretty good. He has had a few, all with tower 46s; one died when he upped elevator while low and inverted, oops. The inverted engine siphons the fuel; all his were like that. Overall a good plane. I never liked the covering, but that is minor.

The covering stayed on fine for the most part. If we got a hole in it, we just fixed it with packing tape; you have to be careful on cleaning it because it can fade the colors. If it was mine. I would side mount the engine, but you will have to engineer it a little bit, but we started it both normal and upside down and as long as you pintch the line off you wont have too much trouble. As for flying, both of us had just come back to the hobby and was a second plane for him. It flew great, but not a beginners plane; but if you can handle a trainer it is an easy transition. Someone might be able to buddy box learn with it but it will take longer than with a trainer. All of the first flights he would take off and fly around for 5 min and ask me if I wanted to fly it, so I would be flying around and call out to him to come land it. He would tell me to do it. At the time I was still flying mode 1 and he was mode 2. I made good landings and learned to fly mode 2 on that plane.

belly flop and pancake landings are the best surival landing to do.

He was too scared to crash his own plane so he left it up to me[>:]. I fly mode 2 now but moving the elevator stick to the other side when it was on the other for 15 years is unnerving.

17 User Reviews here at RCU give the Tower Hobbies Voyager .40 ARF 3.5 stars out of 5:
http://www.rcuniverse.com/product_gu...cfm?kit_id=359
Most comments are favorable, with covering being the most common criticism.
The Voyager .40 ARF has a reputation for being a very good flying airframe. You'd probably see more of them than you already do if the market weren't so competitive for this kind of airframe. The Voyager .40 ARF is a direct competitor to the Sig Four Star .40, CG Tiger 2, Phoenix Dolphin .40, H9 Pulse XT .40, WM Sky Raider Mach II, WM LA Racer 40, WM Super Sports, VMar Ram Rod, VMar Escape, VMar Arrow, BH SuperAir, and a whole bunch of other planes.
You should enjoy flying your TH Voyager .40, report back after the maiden and let us know how it turned out.
