I'm getting my spad debonair ready for flight in jan. since we usually don't get good snow until then. Are wheel still good in the snow. I have 3.5in wheels. Is there any plans for skis or floats. Its a taildragger; so do I put a mini ski on the tail wheel if I do go with skis.

Hey Flyboy,
Check the forum below yours on waterfloat question. It should answer your questions. For skis, you can use a small ski on the tail. I've seen guys cut it out of an aluminum pop can for a tail dragger. It helps to bend a little keel into it so you have a little steering. Wheels tend to sink in too much to use in anything more than a dusting of snow.

I've never had a problem with tail wheels in the snow. A tail wheel will steer better than a little ski. As for plans, check this thread, for example: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_8263849/tm.htm
