Default Prop - slow flyer or electric ?

I have a scratch built electric plane that I am using a Hacker A20-22L with 2100mah battery. I have been using a 9x7.5 slow flyer prop. Originally I did not have landing gear so the slow flyer prop made sense to give some flexibility in the prop for landing. I have recently added landing gear. Can I change to a regular electric 9x7.5 prop or is the A20-22L not capable of turning that prop? I guess my question is what is the rationale for using a slow flyer versus a regular prop? Although my plane is not super fast it certainly moves along. Will the regular prop draw more amps?

Default RE: Prop - slow flyer or electric ?

I have noticed, generally speaking, that the APC Slow Flyer props put substantially more load on the motor than the equivalent sized "E" props, when you try to spin 'em fast.

All other things being the same, you should get more r.p.m. with the switch to a same size/pitch "E" APC and maybe a little less A. draw.
