Hi New to RC Plain flying but Love Building Plane Kits. Need help with a Super Tiger S3000 engine. Looking for glow plugs and other parts. Also need to know what size of warbird would be good for this engine and where would be a good place to find a set of plans to build from scratch. All ready have a F6F Hellcat 60 with a G20 engine I built this plane from old forums from this site. I also have a P51 40 from Nitro Planes and a F4U CORSAIR kit that is all most complete. I was told that a O.S. 65LA would work good for this plane.
Thank you for your help and support.

The ST 3000 is a pretty big engine. It will take $100 worth Of Monokote to cover a plane big enough for this engine

Use a OS "F" glow plug and Super "T" special low oil / low nitro fuel for these engines
The 65LA will fly the 60 size warbirds you mentioned

The ST 3000 engine displaces 30 cc, that's where the "3000" comes from. In cubic inches, thats 1.83.
Planes suitable for 30 cc gas engines should suit this engine also.

Hi I bought the super tiger new but it did not come with a service manual, what is the best way to break this engine in, and what would be the best porp size for the bridistick plane. Also is there a building thread on this plane so I can gather info on what servo to use and so on. The radio I have is a spectrum DX6i that came with my P 51 plane. I would like to match all parts for this unit.
Thanks for your help..

Personally I would go with an OS 61FX for that model. And that super tigre engine is great, that is a good engine for a pylon racer or 60size warbird, but you may have to cut the cowl a bit, and dont know if you woud want to do that on a nice warbird. Check the size specs and see how they match to say a 120 saito. Hope this helps a bit.

Question can I use this plane for the ST S3000 engine I have; this is the type of planes I like. I found this plane from the ads posted on this site..
WWII US Navy "Martin AM-1 Mauler w/Retract", Size 60-90
Specifications:
Wingspan: 1475mm (58 in)
Length: 1193 mm (47 in)
Engine: 2C, 0.61-0.75 / 4C, 0.91 size (Not Included)
Radio: 5 Channels, 6 Servos (Not Included)
Retract: mechanical retracts **Are Included**
If not where could I find a set of plans that I can use. Thanks a lot for the info on the engine. Still have a lot of questions about how to build a great flying plane. When I get ready to build would like to share the info with others. Learn as we go. Thanks for the Help….

Your engine is 3 cubic inch displacement (THIS IS WRONG. THE ENGINE IS 30CC OR 1.8 CUBIC IN)
The plane you listed requires an engine with a .6 to .9 cubic inch displacement
Your engine is more than three times too large for this plane
This is the size plane you need. It was designed with the 3000 in mind

AN ERROR WAS BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION

If you want a war plane like a P-51 or Corsair it needs to be in the 80" wingspan class; if you put it in a Cub type plane it will have to be bigger than 1/4 scale.

Hay went ahead and bought the Bridi Stick Airplane Kit. Are there any threads on this plane? Would like to read some info on what the pro’s and con’s are about this plane. I have plenty of time to gather info need to finish my planes properly I hope. I work all over the USA and have plenty of reading time on my hands, so all info would be deeply appreciated.
Thanks for your Help.

Don't scallop the ailerons or Rudder. Leave them straight.
When flying the plane don't lift it off early. Let it build up flying speed before lift off or it will peel off to the left and crash.
On approach to landing if it gets too low and you add power it will climb but slow down unless you keep the nose down. Otherwise it will stall
Mine has a homelite gas engine but the plans show your engine

Very good looking plane. Thanks for the help. I also been working on building plane engines from weedwacker engines and wanting to convert them to glow. Almost have all the info I need to get started. Found great info on the net and from people like you willing to help.
Thanks

If you like weed whackers that well here is a close up of the Homelite 30 weed whacker engine.
The prop hub is a Carr Precision. I made the mount but it is a copy of a C-H The flywheel is of unknown origin but I dressed the fins down with a die grinder and balanced it with a Dubro prop balancer

Thanks for the close up, very nice job. I found engine mounts on ebay from a guy that sales parts for converting these engines. Here is the link if you would like to look. http://stores.ebay.com/Topcat01 Tell me what you think.
Thanks again.

Just started on this site don't where to look. I spend a lot of time looking for very good buys Like the Super Tiger engine I found. I only paid $80.00 + $6sh for this engine new but it did not have manual or muffler. I also have a lot of time invested in finding support productes for my Hobbies, like all parts need to rebuild my new S3000. Parts are being discontinued for this engine and many others. This is what I like to do when I'm out of town. Last year I was out of town 316 day's and the year before that 279 day's and so on for the last 14 years. That leaves me with a lot of internet time to look for what I won't, but not a lot of time to play...
