Boy, talk about moving up! So let me get this straight, You crash your trainer and uh........................ the government gives you a 15 million dollar machine, sounds about right. Good luck! Remember that most of us here support you on your journeys.

Hmm
I am in the midst of the construction of my tiger II Arf (1st plane).
I don't have a Digital Camera, so I have to describe it.
It's got Epoxy and CA all over the wings, the danged aileron CA hinges are too tight, servos buzz when I am testing the wing with power
Aww mann, I wanna get a 12 oz fuel tank but I have to get my dad to drive 40 Minutes to get to the LHS (Im only 12) and he hates going there cuz weve made approximately 5 or 6 runs there just in the past month. (thats mroe than once a week!

$15 million might get you the avionics out of that F-15

Here is a pic of what used to be my trainer This plane is 10 years old, taught me, my father and this summer my lil brother how to fly... constantly updated and flying great!! Started out as a Royal Air 20T ARF, now with a zero dihedral wing that is 6" shorter, larger rudder, better landing gear, larger ailerons with an HS-81MG under each wing and an OS .35 on a tuned pipe give this "trainer" some attitude ROFL It will hover at full throttle and I have a scratch built fully symetrical wing for it too that makes it a real blast. We built a removeable "cradle" for the wing saddle that allows use of the fully symetrical or flat bottom wing as easy as removing the rubber bands and removing or installing the cradle and the wing of your choice We run it with an 11x4 Zinger to keep the flutter away and have some good vert.

My old Hobbico FlightStar40 [8D] Tens of gallons have gone thru this plane and it's on it's second engine now having worn out the original Thunder Tigre 40. The TT46 really puts this plane thru it's paces, inverted, outside loops, snap rolls, yadda yadda. It has been in several trees, a power line, broken in places more than once and rebuilt at least as many times as I have fingers, and yes I still have ten

Sig Kavalier wing with a scratch built fuse.
After a couple of mods to original build she now flies beautifully.
Alittle faster than I hoped but o well.

Let me get this straight, from what the photo says, your loving wife let you convince her to sell the house, move into a camper at an airport hangar and let you build a plane that costs more than the trailer! LOL That is an awesome plane.

Well guys it's confession time, it's not my plane.[&o] I do love the gooney bird and this one was built by the guy in the picture but he's in Italy. Now I did try and talk my Wife into buying it but she drew the line there, and yes it was for sale.

Here is my tough bird, still surviving in gusty wind landings. Soon moving to low wing trainer.

For the record .. here is my trainer .... and my second plane as well. I am a South African living in Canada, hence the two different colour shemes. I still fly my trainer often, and my wife is learning too.

I just got my Hobbico Avistar 40 Select RTF, a few days ago, and it is still in the box since it is the middle of winter here, probably won't take it out untill the spring. I don't have any personal pictures yet, but this is what it looks like.

My second trainer. It only had a fuse and needed a scratch built wing, so I built it. I tried to do a 60's theme.
