Default Good covering!!!

For anyone wanting to see someone do some outstanding covering, Bipeguy is almost ready to start pretty soon. He has a thread going in kit building called Lainer 81 inch CAP. Not only is James an outstanding builder he is also one of the better people with an iron and heat gun. Now if I could only talk him into using Ultracote instead of that other nasty product!! Oh well, whatever works for him!! He does some outstanding work and his designs are great, this one is going to be something else. For anyone wanting to see some of the tricks we use then go follow along.

You would have to go and ask James?? I watched him last year build his CG Sukhoi and was so impressed I ripped off a number of things he does and made them my own. The young man is very good!!

Thank you Joe, being computer stupid i don't know how to do that.[] When I see James doing anything I always follow along just to rip off, I mean pick up something new I don't know about or haven't done before. The young man is very picky when he covers and the end product is outstanding. I'm pretty good at covering but I have no idea about the design end of it, I just go with the flow of a basic idea. Bipe thinks things through long before he pulls out his iron and the end product is better then anything I ever do. I think it would be good for some of the new people to watch so they can discover covering is nothing to be afraid of and a lot of fun.

If the quality of his covering is anything like the quality of the kit he's built, we're all in for a treat. I wish I had the time, patience, and space to do that, and even if I did I think it would be pretty hard to replicate.

Go look up his Sukhoi build. It's just an old CG 60 size Suk kit but some of the little things James did were really cool. This build is a much bigger plane and Lanier is one of the kits I would always avoid, I always hated all the plastic parts they used, anyway, James did one really nice job on both a kit and plane I really don't care for. I have an 80 inch CAP that is still sitting in a hanger in Calif. so I can say things like that. Go find the Suk build!!

Joe, he started covering yesterday. I asked him to start telling folks how and why he is doing things so you will understand things better then just looking at photos. So far so fun!
