Adjusted the throttle thro and travel tonight. Working great with no binding. Amazing what you can do if you read the Tx manual!! HA!HA! Other than that I beefed up the fire wall a little bit to be sure it was strong enough for flight. New batteries, fuel line, even put in a fuel filter, now all I need is for the snow to melt. At the very least, I will get it fired up and at least get the engine close to being tuned properly. Also hold the plane vetical and inverted at full throttle to be sure it stays running. Have to go to Florida next week for a conference. Sure wish I could somehow get the plane through secrity at the airport. Oh well, Spring is getting closer every day. It amazes me how much I've learned in just three weeks of having this plane and being new to this hobby. It is becoming a way of life, and I like that!

Hey Leatherneck...you got an instructor?...You'd better have...
If you get near Jacksonville give me a shout in private message and we'll chat on the land line...I'll show you around...If you get to Orlando go to Graves hobby shop...if you can think of it they have it...although they're lacking on their people skills a tad bit..it's a fun shop

Ooorahh "winger"!! Will see what I can do about get over over to J ville. Might be going to Daytona in March for bike week, not sure yet.
Yes I have an instructor, he's the one that crashed my plane remember? HA! He's a good guy, I know he'll get me flying one way or another. Forgot to mention that I also went from a 15% fuel to a 10%. No real reason other than the LHS was our of 15%. Hope to at least get her started this weekend and get the high idle mix set. Doubt any flying will happen this weekend, unless I mount ice skates to the plane. We got snow day before yesterday and about 1/4 inch of ice on top of that. Suppose to be 40 by the weekend, but doubt it will sufficientlly melt. Guess you aren't having that problem in Jacksonville.

Say Ken and Mike you guys need a driver when you go to these events. I can drive a golf cart with the best of them.

I'll tell you what, I'd LOVE to have a driver. When we are at these events we usually spend most of the day on our feet, on kneeling, taking pictures and shooting video!!!! [X(]

When and where is the Florida jets event and is there a site to see all upcoming events nationwide?

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_8194397/tm.htm and there is another forum for events outside the U.S. Look in the jets forum for that too if interested.

Bruce,
Yes, I know about that thread. But it's only for jet events. I thought that Beachbrada was asking for a list of ALL events of all types of planes. that's where my answer came from.

Doesn't the AMA magazine list a lot of the events also? Not all of course.
