Default Help! Skyartec Cessna brushed 290

Just getting into this and decided to purchase a Skyartec Cessna but didnt realize it came with such a small brushed motor (290) and is powered by a 8.4 volt 1000mAh NIMH. This thing is so slow it cant even get airborn with a full throttle hand release into a 5mph wind! When I try to climb, it just stalls and floats to the ground. I have tried both 8.4 volt batteries and same thing on full charge. There is an identical setup for this particular plane that comes with an 11.1V 1100mAh Li-PO with a 1530KV brushless motor and would seem to have more power. My question is, can I just change over to the above Li-PO battery to try and give my current motor more power, or should I just order the motor, battery, and 18A ESC that is in the better model which would convert mine fully over to the same specs as the better model?
Thanks in adance

You would need all 3 - plus a balanced charger for the LiPo
