hey im new so im going to have a few questions coming up but my first one is, im installing the fuel tank on my corsair but theres nothing to really support it apart from one firewall so is it completed supported by foam holding it in its place? thanks

well im just concerned.. it doesnt say anything else in the instructions other than to wrap it in foam. so if i do this and make sure its snug i shouldn't have any problems?

That is actually a very good way to do it. Just make sure that the foam supports it enough that it won't move around

I've been successful in slipping a Popsicle stick in the rear of the foam and against the former at the rear of the tank compartment to hold the foam in place.

It is usually cheaper to buy foam at Wally World than the model airplane stuff.

I wouldn't hesitate to make a light ply brace for under or over the tank, or both, that makes the tank stay put some with the foam holding it. As for foam, I have been using the egg crate packing foam from shipping boxes for the tank and the radio, and battery holder. It is free, and cuts to whatever shape I need. Tape sticks well to it, so you can make a length and wrap it around, and use the tape to keep it together.
