Hi guys I have a 46la that needs a plane. I'm wanting just a easy sunday flyer. I thought about a slow poke but its getting hard to find a ARF. most people are selling them RTF. Any sugestions on a good sunday flyer that a 46la would fit.

If ya don't have one build a Cub (clipped wing) or a Cessna 182 they are neat looking lazy flyers. I have a few engines and was thinking about finding myself a kit for one or both of these myself. I am sure you could find the Cub in arf for sure. If not both.

I flew my Four Star 40 for two seasons with a .46LA. It was a good setup for normal sport flying, it just lacked vertical climbing ability.
That engine is now flying my new Dazzler. It's a smaller plane, so the power is a better match. I don't think the Dazzler qualifies as a lazy Sunday flyer, though.
The new GP Escapade ARF would be a good fit as well.
Good luck

The world is your oyster with an engine like that. The Escapade would be fine, or even an Avistar. It's all dependent what kind of plane you want. Just go to Tower and look at any 40 size sport/trainer/scale and you'll find plenty.

I remember a guy had a couple 40 Telemasters and he put a old style Saito 50 on one. It was really nice for that last flight of the day.
I bought a new Telemaster 40 ARF electric at the hobby shop for $100 and busted the electric motor mount and battery rack out of it. They came out clean. I put a Saito 56 in it but have not flown it yet.

Lots of good suggestions here so far. I just thought I'd add another choice or two.
Tower sells a nice ARF by Phoenix Models called a Dolphin .40 that is a pretty straight copy of the Sig Four Star .40:

A .46 LA would be a terrific match for this airframe.
Another airframe that came to mind was the World Models Super Stunts .40 ARF available from Airborne Models:

The Super Stunts .40 is a basic Ugly Stik design, but with a very large wing span and surface area. A .46 LA would provide plenty of power, but this combination could be flown as slow and lazy as you could possibly want it to be. Just a couple of more suggestions that might not be as frequently thought of.

I had one of those sitting around. I thought it was a weak .46. I finally built a profile around it. I got plans from RCM ("Dart Cart II, by Joe Birdi) I modified things, but kept the basic plane. It was very easy to build. My total fly weight came in at 4lbs. There are resources out there for kits and arfs

Another choice, not a profile:

Good luck.

I had also thought of the Kadet Senior. Great flying plane and with a light LA engine, it would be a hoot to fly slow with. And, if you're looking for something to kit-bash, the Senior falls out of the box almost half modified. I've got two seniors and they both fly great, even though I've got a .91 4-stroke on both of them. I had a 50 Saito on the one when I first got it. That LA should do just about the same. I have a thread running on modifying my last senior and a youtube of my first senior flying. We extended the chord on both planes and took a lot of dihedral out of the wing. I suggest a Senior at every opportunity!

I would go with a World Models Super Stunts 40. I have one and I love it. It's been my work horse for 9yrs now wit well over 500 flights. In April I just ripped off all the covering and went through the airframe. I probably should have retired due to age but I like it way too much. My Super Stunts is using a Tower Hobbies .46 engine swinging a 10x7 prop with a top speed at level flight of 86mph (according to my gps). It has a large wing and very low wing loading so it can be slowed down to a crawl, but the fully symmetrical airfoil allows for enough aerobatics to keep you interested.

Two words... [link=http://www.sigmfg.com/cgi-bin/dpsmart.exe/ProductsV5.html?L+Sig+shrm7984+_Ddp_5fSearch1_02a0 1RCSigKadetSenior_01Search_02Index_01]Kadet Senior[/link] (from Sig)... now that's a slow, lazy flier if I ever saw one. I have one with a Saito .50 and she'll climb at a couple clicks past idle... The .46 LA would do very nicely on this plane and Kadet Seniors come in Kit and ARF form. (Oh, and it'd make a nice platform for a camera plane too!)
