Default trainer cable compatibility....

Hello guys....

I have a DX7 and I have a sky 4ch basic transmitter that I got with a small RC helicopter, similar to this:

http://www.raidentech.com/es4colav4rec.html

the transmitter is FM and it does not have a TRAINER switch that some have...

Does anyone know if Esky is compatible with the Futaba plug for the trainer????

Because, I would like to get this cable: http://www.greathobbies.com/productinfo/?prod_id=HAN173 and then use my DX7 as master and the Esky transmitter as slave and use to buddy box..... this cable is compatible with futaba but I do not know if the futaba plug is the same than the Esky...

Could anyone help me out????

Thanks!

see if the esky even has a trainer port
if it has the "JR" style plug it might.

yes, it has a trainer port at the back but it is round (not JR type), I know the futaba transmitters come with a round plug as well, thus, I was wondering if Esky and Futaba round plugs are the same or the Esky is bigger or viceverse.....

To put it simply, no it's not going to work.

There is a wealth of info on trainer cord on the web available through Google, many sites include schematics and helpful hints, far to much to list here.

I just bought from a friend an old JR 6ch transmitter, I got a cable JR-JR trainer cord from ebay and hopefully, they should work with my DX7......

I hope so!

the parkzone zx10 works as a slave for my dx6i, so it may work for your dx7. and they're $30 new.
