Default New Plane

I finaly got to try out my new plane. It's a mini super cub from E-Hobies. This plane is so easy to fly. If I can fly this plane I believe a chimpanzee could fly it. I had it up and flying on my very first try. It had a couple of rough landings but NO damage. If I can catch a few days with no wind or a real light breeze I can get better with keeping it up. For the first time I have confidence that I might be able to learn to fly radio controled airplanes. It doesn't seem like it's a skill reserved for those with a much higher IQ than myself anymore.

Congratulations on having positive experiences with your new airplane! It's not about IQ, it's about practice.

Have fun!

of the hundred or so I've trained I think just 1 didn't get it. Most people learn to fly very easily, it's not rocket science, but there is a learning curve. With foamies going out and trying your luck isn't a big deal, not to diminish the accomplishment, that rocks you were able to do it. it when you step up to a real trainer then more powerful planes. At that point the investment getting into the hobby is kinda high, 400-800 bucks and the models can really do some damage someone or something, and thats when I say it's to join a club and get training. It kinda like golf. Anyone can golf, with a little help you can golf ok very quickly and get pretty good after a couple month if you keep at it, at the same time you can do it your entire life and still find new skills, learn and get better.

that's nice! IMO, it could have been better if you started with just the supercub.. it's very easy to fly aswell. spend more time practicing and probably on sims and you're ready for other planes like eflite apprentice, trojan, [link=http://www.twift.com/cessna-skylane-channel-plane-p-66.html]cessna 182[/link] and other great challenging planes.
