I would NOT get a Super Tigre G-90.

What I recommend most to the fellows for the Senior Telly is any of the good 91four strokes. They are usually a perfect match for the airplane and not overpowered. Anything less even in a two stroke will be unhappy. The OS ninetyone in the pictured one has been flying about two years now and very successfully paved the way for a slow lerner to finally succeed.

For the similar type airplane the Sig Senior Kaydet ARF or Kit with or without ailerons I have found the OS LA 65 to be about the best combo possible.

I solved the power problem on my Senior Telemaster with six OS .25FX.

John

These are an acceptable engine for the airplane and pretty inexpensive, Heck they were just on sale a while back for a 150 bucks.

just flew my dad's today, he originally had a .61sf with a 13x6 prop, and thought it was sufficient. Today i flew for the first time in over a decade with a nice magnum 91 four stroke with a 15x6 Vess, it was more than enough power for a trainer.... it also needs about 6 ounces upfront to fly the way i like it.

I had an OS .60 on mine and thought it was about perfect but we used it for a club trainer.
I think today I would go with the SK .91 from Kangke SuperKraft. Gobs of torque and only $100.00!!!

How did you mount this motor on the kadet? How did you install the blind nuts?

Andrew I Don,t recall if this one had a hardware change or not, The red one pictured Is a twenty year old kit kadet that I prepared for the gentleman and its very likely I just used a Dave Brown mount and drilled it where it needed to be. The LA-65 is being used on four Kaydets at our field and they working out very well indeed.

On the arf version I am not sure is it comes with some sort of adjustable or the old standard Sig Two piece metal mounts. It they are the two piece there should be no problems in mounting the engine even if you have to redrill.

I used to fly a Senior Telemaster with a Merco 61, a far less powerful engine than the OS, and it flew it well enough for me. I subsequently fitted a Thunder Tiger 91 driving a 15x7 prop. I preferred the fourstroke mainly because of the sound.
