Default The Maiden Voyage!!

Ok I finally got to take my Tower Hobbies Series 40 out today for its first flight but I did not get to fly it long after five min of in the air the engine died! So we landed it and checked it and my trainer made some adjustments on the table and decided to try it one more time about 5 min later it did it the same thing So I decided to call it a day and I am going to take it back where I got it from and let that guy ck it! So Hopefully I can have longer flights in the future but he whats the worse that could happen buy a new engine wow! But Iloved it even if I did only get to fly it for five min. So I thought I would keep yall informed about my first flight!

Your best bet is to join a club.

Usually on our training days, we carefully go over the newbie's planes. We trim them out, check them out, tune them up and even make repairs and fixes to get them flying... and of course we do it for free.

Most of our instructors have easily saved dozens of planes from destruction each, that would have died quick deaths in the hands of a novice... and that before actually flying or providing flight training.

The tips and tricks you'll pick up on one visit alone, makes it worth it to take a long drive if you have to, a few times until you get certified.

Well my trainer at our club did do all the triming and Iended up having to tighten up the clip 3 turns on a few things my trainer and the other guys looked at the engine pretty good he took it up for the first flight and worked ok but it died at the end of the flight and he had to deadstick the landing. So he thats when he told me to give what to do to finish trimming it out. so he cked it again after I did that and we hooked up the buddy box and trimed it out as well thats when I got my five min in. Then it Died again For some reason the engine is knocking a little bit or it is vibration but either or it did not sound right so that is why I am taking it back to the shop I got it from Tomm Morning!

Check the lines INSIDE the tank. Something might have fallen off or split
